Opener ‘U Should Have Told Me’ is a steady-heady eight-minute eerie- series of bloops more than the sum of its parts. A trance-house amalgam of processed beats with an analogue folk-acapella that creates a spooky juncture-puncture of past and present.
‘DRM’ is a warping Mr Oizoesque subsonic squelcher, perfect for those chilled up pilled out come up breakdown times. There’s a hint of Laurie Anderson’s 1982 chart-screwball ‘O Superman’ on ‘Mifami’ (named for a World of Warcraft entity?); distorted human sounds set to a hypnotic builder’s brew.
‘Floss’ is the standout. Found sounds manipulated to wyrd and wiry effect, it echo-evokes The Real Tuesday Weld’s 2003 curioddity ‘Bathtime in Clerkenwell’.
Dancing music for contemplating to. Thinking music for mental contortionism. Kinetic balletic rhythm and moves.
